Measurements for Girl’s Headbands:

Here is a quick guide on how to cut your elastic when making headbands or hair ties. Baby headband sizing, of course, can be any measurement you want, if you measure the baby/child’s head – you can simply take that measurement and cut your elastic according to that. However, here is a quick reference for “standard” measurements for girls of all ages: Sizes we recommend for our fold over elastic, printed elastic, 3/8" elastic, 1/8" elastic: { Premie } 11-12″ { Newborn } 13″ { 0-1 Year } 14" { 1-6 Years} 15″ {Child-teen} 16.5″ { Adults } 17.5″ *When cutting your elastic, we recommend cutting approximately 0.5″ larger than the recommended sizing, so you can overlap the elastic to glue or sew it together.

Stretch Lace/Glitter/Velvet Elastic Sizing

Sizes we recommend for stretch lace and glitter elastic and Velvet elastic *this is slightly larger due to the elasticity being tighter than standard elastic { Premie } 11.5-12.5″ { Newborn } 13.5″ { 0-1 Year } 14.5″ { 1-6 Years} 15.5″ {Child-teen} 17″ { Adults } 18″ *When cutting your elastic, we recommend cutting approximately 0.5″ larger than the recommended sizing, so you can overlap the elastic to glue or sew it together.
